Prior to joining Radar Group, as a partner in a well-known, international law firm, Pat Heptig specialized in representing clients ranging from small entrepreneurs to Fortune 50 companies in connection with intellectual property matters. His extensive background and experience includes complex intellectual property litigation, intellectual property procurement, technology licensing and other transactional matters, and portfolio management. He has extensive experience in federal courts and agencies throughout the United States. For over a decade, Heptig represented 3D Realms Entertainment and other companies in the video game industry. He received his J.D., with honors, from the Columbia University School of Law, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering magna cum laude from Texas A&M University. In 2007 and 2008, Heptig was listed in The Best Lawyers in America for intellectual property law.
Heptig also has over ten years of industry experience in computer system design, computer software development, and the design and manufacture of integrated circuits, including microprocessors and memory devices. He has also founded venture companies to develop and manage IP portfolios in diverse technology areas, including internet networking, automotive, and microprocessor architectures.
